VMware Fusionが3.1.0にバージョンアップ

VMware Fusionが3.1.0にアップデートされました。

 

更新内容の概要は以下の通り。

VMware Fusion 3.1 は、すべての VMware Fusion 3 ユーザー向けの無償アップデートです。20 を超える新機能および強化された機能が追加され、多数のバグが修正されています。

VMware Fusion 3.1 の特長は以下のとおりです。

・処理の高速化：サスペンドからのレジューム後のパフォーマンス、ディスク パフォーマンス、アプリケーション内でのスクロールなどのパフォーマンスが全体的に高速化しています。

・グラフィックスの向上：Aero のパフォーマンスが大幅に改善されています。ゲームの動作は VMware Fusion 3.0 よりも最大で 5 倍高速です。また、Windows Vista および Windows 7 で OpenGL 2.1 がサポートされるようになりました。

・USB EasyConnect：コンピュータへの接続時に USB デバイスを仮想マシンまたは Mac に簡単に割り当てることができます。

・Boot Camp の改良：Boot Camp 仮想マシンでのディスク パフォーマンスが最大で 5 倍高速化し、認証を無効にするための新しいオプションが追加されています。

・10 種類の新しいゲストのサポート：Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 32 ビットおよび 64 ビット エディションを含みます。

→ VMware Fusion改善のために匿名の情報を送信してもよいかどうか訊かれるようになった。

Graphics Improvements

    * Aero is much faster on Windows Vista and Windows 7

→ Windows7のAeroが速くなったらしい。（違いはよくわからないけど）

    * Greatly improved scrolling speeds in Windows Vista and Windows 7 with latest Mac OS X release
    * Some games up to 10x faster than VMware Fusion 3.0 with VMware Fusion 3.1 and latest Mac OS X release
    * Improved performance and better compatibility for both DirectX 9 and OpenGL 3D applications
